As a CPD provider accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, the CSPM accredits programs developed by physician organizations and co-develops accredited programs with industry partners for credit under the Royal College’s Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Program.

*All applications for College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) certification of CPD activities for Mainpro+ credits must be submitted through CFPC directly. Click here for more information.

CSPM offers accredited CPD programs through a co-development process with non-physician organizations and industry partners.

HAS YOUR PROGRAM BEEN DEVELOPED BY A PHYSICIAN ORGANIZATION?

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada requires that activities must be planned by a physician organization to be eligible for accreditation. Activities planned by non-physician organizations must be co-developed by a physician organization or an accredited provider. The application form must be completed by a member of the physician organization that developed or co-developed this event.

If you are uncertain whether your organization meets the definition of a physician organization, please complete How to Identify a Physician Organization or email cpd@pallmed.ca.  To view the Royal College’s definition of a Physician Organization, click here.

DOES YOUR PROGRAM MEET THE STANDARDS OF ACCREDITED CPD?

The program’s design and delivery must comply with the National Standard for Support of Accredited CPD Activities <link to document>  and the CMA’s Guidelines for Physicians in Interactions with Industry.
